Dental Implants

Tooth loss can take a toll on your self-esteem, and have damaging effects on how you speak and eat. We can use dental implants to restore any number of missing or damaged teeth. Implants integrate with the jawbone to act as a natural tooth root to support a natural-looking restoration. They’re custom-made to match the look and feel of your teeth.

Dental implants are the only restorative treatment that helps repair any bone loss caused by tooth loss. Find out if you’re a candidate and start living life on your own terms.

Bridges

Bridges and Crowns

For patients with a broken or missing tooth, dental bridges and crowns are a great tooth replacement option. They’re long-lasting, permanent, and crafted to blend seamlessly with your smile. Unlike traditional dentures, these restorations don’t have to be removed daily and they function just like your natural teeth.

Here at our Archdale office, we offer two types of crowns–porcelain dental crowns and porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns–to ensure you receive personalized treatment that meets your unique smile goals.

Crowns

CERECⓇ Same-Day Crowns

With the CEREC system, there’s no need to wait weeks for your custom-made tooth replacement. Our Triad dentists are able to rejuvenate your smile in just one day with a beautiful, porcelain crown.

This technology allows us to create a high-quality, natural-looking tooth during your appointment. You’ll be able to enjoy all the benefits of our CEREC same-day crowns from the moment you leave our office.

Dentures

Dentures and Partials

If you’re missing an entire arch or all your teeth, dentures are an affordable, comfortable tooth replacement option. They restore your ability to eat and speak with ease, and help improve the appearance of your facial structure to prevent an aging complexion.

Our Archale office offers multiple denture options to help get your beautiful smile back. Whether you need complete dentures, partials, or implant-supported dentures, we have a tooth loss solution for you.

Root Canal

Endodontic/Root Canal Therapy

Here at Triad Cosmetic Dentistry, we use state-of-the-art root canal therapy to treat inflammation within a decaying tooth, as well as relieve pain and prevent infection. It’s quick and easy, allowing our dentists to carefully remove the damaged nerve tissue and fill the tooth.

We’ll provide you with anti-anxiety medication and a local anesthesia to help make your experience as painless and worry-free as possible.

Periodontics Dentistry

Periodontal/Gum Treatment

Even with good oral hygiene habits, it’s easy to develop gum disease. Periodontal treatment is crucial if you want to achieve and maintain healthy gums that’ll last a lifetime. One of our Triad dentists will perform an in-depth exam of your entire mouth to determine the right course of action for your condition.

We offer various options to help get your smile back on track, such as scaling and root planinglaser assisted procedure, and surgical treatments.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long do you have to wait to get dentures after teeth are pulled?

After tooth extractions, you’ll have to wait six to eight weeks for your gums to heal before an impression can be taken for your new dentures. This will allow time for the swelling to decrease and you’ll get a better fit on your dentures.

Can I get my teeth pulled and dentures in the same day?

Yes, if you choose to receive immediate dentures, your jaw and teeth will be measured about a month prior to your extraction procedure and you’ll leave with your new smile after your appointment. Immediate dentures are only temporary and will ultimately be replaced by conventional dentures.

How long does root canal therapy take?

Root canal therapy typically takes one to two appointments lasting about 90 minutes each. The duration of the appointment is based on your specific needs.

For a more accurate time frame, schedule an appointment with one of our trusted dentists at Triad Cosmetic Dentistry by calling (336) 434-3186. During the consultation, you will receive a customized treatment plan with detailed information including the expected duration of the procedure.

What happens if I avoid getting root canal therapy?

Postponing the procedure or avoiding it altogether can be detrimental to your health. Root canal therapy is necessary to remove the infected pulp within the tooth. Addressing the infection immediately may save your tooth from having to be extracted.

If the infected tooth goes untreated, the infection can spread to other parts of the body and in rare cases, can be life-threatening. If you think you need a root canal, being proactive can prevent further complications and procedures.

What are some of the early warning signs of periodontal disease?

A few symptoms of gum disease include:

  • Gums that bleed during and after tooth brushing.
  • Red, swollen, or tender gums.
  • Persistent bad breath
  • Receding gums.
  • Loose or shifting teeth

It’s important to treat gum disease early on so the disease doesn’t progress. If left untreated, periodontal disease leads to bone loss, tooth mobility, and possible tooth loss.

Are CEREC crowns covered by insurance?

Insurance may cover a portion or all of the expenses for CEREC crowns. We recommend contacting your provider prior to your appointment to get a better understanding of your coverage.

If there are any questions we can answer on our end, be sure to let us know by calling (336) 434-3186. One of our knowledgeable team members will assist you in answering any questions you may have. We also offer financing options so you can enjoy the benefits of same-day crowns without the wait.

Do dental implants have to be removed for cleaning?

No. Dental implants are permanently fixed to your jaw bone and can only be removed by a qualified dentist. Caring for your dental implant is very similar to caring for your natural teeth.

In addition to following any recommendations by our trusted dentists and Triad Cosmetic Dentistry, you’ll want to brush twice a day under and around your dental implant with a soft-bristled toothbrush, rinse with mouthwash in between meals, and floss daily.

How many teeth can a bridge replace?

A bridge can replace as little as one tooth and up to four or more. There needs to be adequate support from the crowns surrounding the bridge. If you don’t have enough natural teeth for the crowns to be placed, you can get additional reinforcement from a dental implant.
