What Are Permanent Bridges?
Permanent bridges are a more secure alternative to traditional dental implants. They use dental bridges as opposed to dental crowns as the framework. One dental implant will be surgically placed for every missing tooth and these implants will hold the bridge in place. Our permanent dental bridges will allow you to eat, speak, and smile with confidence again without having to worry about bone loss, emerging teeth, or premature wrinkling.
The Benefits of Permanent Dental Bridges
Permanent dental implant bridges offer a long-lasting solution for tooth loss that seamlessly blends in with your surrounding smile. As each implant naturally fuses with your jawbone, it acts as a tooth root for your final restoration, providing improved stability and functionality.
Additional benefits from a dental implant bridge include:
- You’ll feel more confident than ever before
- They look just like your natural teeth
- You can live without restriction and eat all your favorite foods
- They improve your ability to speak
- They help regenerate lost jawbone
- You can live with a fully restored smile for years to come
- Your smile will be complete in just two appointments
PLACING YOUR
Permanent Bridge
You’ll start with an initial consultation with one of our Triad dentists. We’ll examine your oral health, evaluate your medical history, and discuss your smile goals with you. Once we decide that a permanent bridge is perfect for you, we’ll schedule your procedure.
At your next appointment, we’ll surgically place the dental implants in the areas where your teeth are missing. Over a couple of months, the implants will naturally integrate with your jawbone through a process called osseointegration that will provide a strong, sturdy base for your custom restoration.
Once your implants have successfully integrated with your jawbone, we’ll place your dental bridge. Your new smile will be complete and you can leave our Archdale office with newfound confidence.

What’s the difference between a temporary bridge and a permanent dental bridge?
The main difference between a temporary and permanent dental bridge is their lifespan. A traditional bridge lasts between five and 15 years, whereas, a permanent implant bridge can last a lifetime. A dental implant bridge is also secured to your jawbone, meaning it won’t ever become loose or slide around when you eat or speak.
